AFTN Soccer Show (Vancouver Whitecaps/MLS)

The AFTN football/soccer podcast about Vancouver Whitecaps and Major League Soccer (MLS)

Things are getting spooky at AFTN Towers as we're back with a (somewhat) Halloween themed episode and lots of Vancouver Whitecaps, MLS, and CPL chat.

We start things of in the Canadian Premier League as we look back at the historic and controversial first leg of the first eve championship game and hear the post game thoughts of Cavalry FC's Tommy Wheeldon Jr and Forge's Bobby Smyrniotis.

The Whitecaps are next up as we take a look at the striker situation at the club, ponder where it all went wrong, and what may lie in store. Plus we sit down for an in-depth chat with Fredy Montero about the season just past and how he may or may not fit in to MDS' plans moving forward.

Staying in MLS, we talk playoffs, looking back at some action packed semi-finals in the Western and Eastern Conferences and look ahead to this week's finals. Plus there's some wonderful LA derby postgame chat from Zlatan Ibrahimovic being the Zlatan we know and love!

All this plus we ponder a Vancouver Whitecaps Halloween XI, Halftime Oranges are back in Wavelength, 13 Tombs finish their residency as our artists of the month for October, and there's BC Soccerweb headlines.

It's been a busy week in the CPL as well. As the first ever regular season wraps up, we hear from caretaker Pacific FC head coach James Merriman about the end to their season and sit down for a chat with Pacific co-owner Rob Friend about the club's decision to sack head coach Michael Silberbauer and what the ideal future looks like for the club.
