The latest AFTN Soccer Show is out for another packed show of Vancouver Whitecaps, MLS, and Canadian football chat.
And what a busy week it's been.
The Whitecaps got back to winning ways with a narrow victory at home to FC Dallas on Saturday. We look at the highlights and lowlights coming out of that one, where that leaves the team after the weekend's results, and look ahead to the Houston game midweek.
And Whitecaps CEO and Sporting Director Axel Schuster joins us to chat about the new Leagues Cup format, the search for a new head coach, and the development of the 'Caps' U19s.

The latest AFTN Soccer Show is out for another packed show of Vancouver Whitecaps and Canadian football chat.
As those around them pick up the wins, the room for error is getting ever smaller for the 'Caps and while an away draw in Colorado is normally a good result, we're getting to the have to start getting three points stage of the season.
We pick over the bones of that game, talk Whitecaps defence, and look at where the draw leaves the 'Caps in the grand scheme of things in the Western Conference, plus as another MLS manager falls, we look at how urgent filling the Vancouver vacancy could become.
Our feature interview this episode is with one of the newest Whitecaps, German centreback Florian Jungwirth. We chat with Flo about his early days in football in Germany, his initial slow loving of the game, making the move to MLS, settling in to Vancouver, and about his work with his rescue dogs charity in Spain.

The latest AFTN Soccer Show is out for another packed show of Vancouver Whitecaps and Canadian football chat.
It's been another busy few days at club and country level and we have you covered again in this episode.
The Whitecaps saw their 10 game unbeaten league run ended in a 1-0 Cascadia derby loss to Portland Timbers on Friday night. We look at the highs and lows from the game, some of the bizarre personnel decisions on the night, the continued flat first half performances, and where that loss leaves the 'Caps now after the weekend's other results in the Western Conference.
Turning our attention to the international stage, we delve into the aftermath of Canada's 3-0 win over El Salvador in World Cup qualifying and look at the lay of the land in the CONCACAF octagon. Plus we hear some postgame audio from head coach John Herdman and players Atiba Hutchinson and Milan Borjan.
