The boys are back in town, just as some Vancouver Whitecaps are out of town. It's the Gold Cup break and the 'Caps have three weeks off. We recharged our batteries last weekend but are back to look at how the Whitecaps stand at this halfway(ish) point of the MLS season.
What's been the highlights, the lowlights, and the major positives and concerns up to this point? With the 'Caps missing four key defensive pieces to Gold Cup duty with Canada, how will the team cope in some crucial games coming up at the end of the month? That's just one of the things we ask 'Caps coach Marc Dos Santos and Vancouver midfielder Andy Rose as we sit down for a couple of interviews with them.
Plus there's lots of Gold Cup and Women's World Cup chat, and we bring you audio for Canadian men's national team head coach John Herdman and bring you a pair of interviews with two of the 'Caps Canadians, Max Crepeau and Russell Teibert.
We also continue our 1979 NASL Soccer Bowl celebrations, and our Wavelength section this week pays tribute to Leyton's Orient's boss Justin Edinburgh. who sadly passed away this weekend.
