The latest AFTN Soccer Show is out and wow, was this one hell of a difficult show to put together due to the constantly changing chaos surrounding the MLS is Back tournament in Orlando.

We've ended up recording this over Sunday and Monday with several additions added in with all the breaking news that has come out of the Covid Cup today. Some stuff already feels dated, but we've tried to make it as up to date as we can!

We look at FC Dallas pulling out of the tournament after 10 players tested positive, the concerns about others, and what that might mean for the tournament starting on time. We also talk Whitecaps' Fredy Montero and LAFC's Carlos Vela not travelling to Orlando, what life is like at the hotel, some details about the television broadcasts, and look at the challenges facing the players physical and mental health in this bubble.

Episode 386 - The AFTN Soccer Show (Living In A World Of Isolation with guest Jonathan Tannenwald)

We're living in strange times. Worrying times. And let's be honest, somewhat scary times because no-one really knows what direction this whole coronavirus pandemic is going to take next. If the last week has shown us anything, it's that the situation can change dramatically by the hour, never mind by the day or week.

What we need right now is some kind of normality, and that's why we're not going anywhere at the AFTN Soccer Show and will still be bringing you weekly episodes of the show in these trouble times, to at least give you a modicum of entertainment and your football fix.

Episode 384 - The AFTN Soccer Show (Pruning The Peacock - LA Galaxy v Whitecaps preview show)

The 2020 MLS season didn't get underway anyone at Vancouver Whitecaps would have hoped for. A disappointing 3-1 home loss to Sporting Kansas City saw a poor performance and a lot of the spark and optimism from the preseason disappeared quicker than snow aff a dyke for many in the fanbase.

Can they bounce back this week in LA against an offensively stacked Galaxy side?

Joe, Peter, and Nick return for AFTN's latest preview podcast to chat about just that as they look ahead to the LA game, ponder the lessons learned from last week's loss, and try and work out just what team the 'Caps could put out there that would negate what, on paper at least, should be one of the most deadly attacks in MLS.
