Doesn't it just feel like yesterday that the MLS season was coming to an end? Well actually no, it feels an age away, but fret not because the boys are back in town as Vancouver Whitecaps preseason training camp is underway.
And they have some new players too to talk about this week, so we do just that, plus we cast our eyes over some of the trialists in the camp and what they offer the team.
Our feature interview this week is with the 'Caps' new DP striker Lucas Cavallini. We chat about moving away from Canada at 16 to learn his trade in Uruguay and Mexico, coming back home after a decade away, and what he hopes to bring to the Whitecaps and to MLS this season. All great to know, but does he fancy a chocolate digestive?
We also look at the big stories in the Canadian Premier League and Canadian soccer this week including a new team in Ottawa, a new head coach at Pacific FC, and some of the transfer rumours doing the rounds.
We also continue our month of FA Cup themed tunes in Wavelength with one from the Liverpool 1988 FA Cup Final Squad and German band Gurr continue their residency as our artists of the month.
Here's the rundown for the main segments from the episode:
02.13: The Whitecaps add two players and subtract one

Christmas already feels like an age away, although the snowy weather outside may beg to differ.
The Whitecaps still seem to be thawing our their frosty wallets as new signing have not yet been forthcoming, but there have been some exciting additions for us to chat about this week, both on and off the pitch.
There's a new CEO running the show. We hear a little bit from Mark Pannes and chat about the impact he, and we, hope that he'll have on the 'Caps.
We also sit down for a chat with the Whitecaps' latest Canadian, first round draft pick Ryan Raposo about his footballing journey so far and heading to Vancouver, and look at how worried we should be that there haven't been any other additions yet this year with preseason camp kicking off in a matter of days.
We also speculate as to whether Vancouver is back in the mix to host World Cup matches in 2026, continue our month of FA Cup themed tunes in Wavelength with one from former the Tottenham Hotspur 1981 FA Cup Final Squad and German band Gurr continue their residency as our artists of the month.

2019. What a year. If you were a Vancouver Whitecaps fan it started with some hope and ended with some hope, but the bits inbetween were certainly bleak at times.

We'll look back at the year over the next two podcasts. All the highs, all the lows, all the forgettable moments, and the stuff that will last a long time in everyone's memories. And we kick things off this episode with a look at the months of January to June.
We also have a fun Wavelength from 70's comedian George Roper and The New Royal Family complete their month's residency with a song you should know well.

That was the week that was, it's over, let it go. So went the opening lyrics to the 1960s satirical BBC show That Was The Week That Was, or TW3 as it was more succinctly known.
And it's been a quiet week in the North American footballing landscape. That gives us the chance to trial a new format I've been keen to try, combining two shows I love - TW3 and AIOTM on AFTN. What could go wrong?!
We'll be breaking down the week's Whitecaps, MLS, and CPL news as the days played out, and throw in a few fun bits as well. Let us know if you like it.
But we also continue our new section to pick our Whitecaps of the decade, looking at the defence and picking our starting right back, left back, and two centre backs. Let us know if you agree.
