Joe Deasy is back with another preview podcast and he's joined this week by Gideon Hill to look ahead to the Whitecaps' Canadian derby against Toronto FC in Orlando on Saturday.
What can we take from the 'Caps win over Portland last weekend and TFC's loss to Montreal? Will it be the same again for the 'Caps in terms of their line-up? How much of a factor with the Florida afternoon heat and humidity be? The guys delve into all of that and a lot more.

The 2021 MLS season gets underway on Friday night with a pair of matches, Saturday sees the Canadian derby between Toronto and Montreal played in Florida, and Sunday see's Vancouver host the first Cascadian derby of the season against Portland in Utah. It's going to be that kind of year.
There will be a lot of unpredictableness along the way in typical MLS fashion, but this is shaping up to be an entertaining season and already feels like a wide open one in the quest to raise the MLS Cup. We have you covered all the way from start to finish here at AFTN and to get you even more in the mood our latest daily episode this week previews the action ahead this season in both the Western and the Eastern Conferences.

As we bring this show out there's five more sleeps till the Whitecaps kick off their 2021 MLS campaign, and three till the season itself starts on Friday night. There's a busy week in store and especially here at AFTN Towers as we look to bring you as many daily podcasts in the build up to First Kick as we can!
There'll be season previews for the Whitecaps and both conferences, bold predictions, a Timbers match preview, and some interviews and other audio from around the league thrown in as well. But we kick things off this episode by looking at Vancouver and Portland's final preparations for Sunday's season opener.
As the Whitecaps readied themselves with two preseason friendlies, the Timbers were going nap in CONCACAF Champions League action and look well ahead of the 'Caps going into Sunday's match. We kick things off in Whitecapsland as we look at the big stories of the week as the team heads off to their new temporary home of Utah. Deiber Ceicedo has arrived into training camp, but it's been down to the bare bones as the international players have to wait to meet up with the team in the States. We look at all of that, hear the thoughts of head coach Marc Dos Santos, and we take goalkeeper Max Crepeau on some football time travelling adventures.
After all the Whitecaps chat is done and dusted, we turn our attention to football on our TV screens here in Canada, and in particular the debate about national team games only being available on a streaming service.
