The latest AFTN Soccer Show is out for another packed show of Vancouver Whitecaps, MLS, and Canadian football chat.

We're just over a week away from the start of the new MLS season, which feels like a good time for our regular pre-First Kick chat with 'Caps coach Marc Dos Santos. We talk in detail to MDS about the season ahead and what we can expect from the team, life in Utah, the search for a number ten, the young players dilemma, and much more.

Turning our attention to the other Canadian MLS teams, we chat with Eve Powell about all things CF Montreal after an offseason that's seen a rebrand, a new coach, and an influx of players. Can they be competitive in the East this season?

Our third feature interview in the episode is with a former Whitecap and Canadian international who has just hung up his boots, Marcel De Jong. We chat with the CANPFA President about his career, his retiral, his new soccer academy, and the fight to get the Canadian players union by the CPL and Canada Soccer.

Plus we hear from Montreal players Samuel Piette and James Pantemis ahead of the new season, and talk TFC in the Champions League with some audio from Chris Armas.

Here's the rundown for the main segments from the episode:

02.16: Intro and football cards chat
13.42: MDS interview - part one
33.31: MDS interview - part two
64.00: Wavelength - AJ Tracey - False 9
